One of the ways I deal with my anxiety is through meditation. I was introduced to the practice about 6 years ago, I knew that I needed help before it got out of control or I would be in real trouble. At first I was really hesitant about it, I knew that I have resisted relaxing and am always constantly fidgeting. How was I ever going to quiet my mind enough to find my inner peace?
I’m not going to say it was easy at first but like training to run a marathon (which believe me will not be something that I ever will try) it takes practice and perseverance. The gift of silence ,reflection and the ability to get to know my self again has been priceless.
I love to surround myself with like minded people who have open views to life and who work hard to try and do away with judging others. It feels so freeing to be in the company of people that I can be my true self with.
I would encourage you to find your inner peace whenever and wherever you can. I know life gets busy and something is always demanding your time and energy but you need to give yourself permission to do something just for you. Trust me meditation has been a life saver for me who knows maybe it’s something that will change your life too.
