A flower has always had the ability to make me feel content and joyful when I see one. I can’t help but smile whenever I come across a small bloom trying to catch a ray of sunshine to aid in it’s growth of perfection. I’m not sure what the purpose of flowers are on this planet but I’m pretty sure humanity would not be as happy without them.
My fondest memory of my boys when they were young is of them running into the house covered in mud with an assortment of wild flowers for me. More often than not the bouquet would include dandelions and other variety of weeds (thank goodness poison ivy never grew on this farm). No matter what surprises I would find in those flowers I will always treasure their thoughtfulness.
I’m not going to be the first person to say to you:
“Take time to smell the roses”

I know that you are very busy in your daily life, I am here to remind you that it is okay to take time for yourself. Go for a walk, read a book that you have been dying to dig into, grab your camera and snap a few pictures or do what makes your heart sing. You are the only person that can take care of you!!! We only have one life to live and I am making a conscious effort to make every day, hour, minute and second count and I would love for you to do the same.
I try very hard every weekend to get out of the house and spend a few hours in nature. For me there is something very healing about being in nature. I have included some pictures of the flowers that I have found in my adventure last weekend.
